David T. Schaefer, CLP

Mr. Schaefer is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Orion First Financial, LLC which was established in 2001 as a small ticket, loan and lease servicer and advisor. Dave has over thirty years of experience in the finance industry. His experiences include treasury, operations/technology, accounting and portfolio management. He provides advisory services to lenders, lessors and equipment manufacturers regarding portfolio acquisitions, debt placement, lease administration and portfolio management. He has been involved in both prime and sub-prime markets and has significant experience dealing with all aspects of portfolio and collection management. Prior to establishing Orion he was president and a member of the Board of Directors with Financial Pacific Leasing. In 1975 Dave founded Checkmate Certified Collections a consumer and commercial collection agency.

Dave is active in the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA) and currently serves on the ELFA Board of Directors. Prior to this, he served on the Board of Directors of the United Association of Equipment Lessors now the National Equipment Finance Association. He chaired the Small Ticket Business Council of the ELFA in 1999 and 2000. He was one of the industry's earlier Certified Leasing Professionals, obtaining his CLP certification in 1996. Dave currently serves on the Gig Harbor YMCA Advisory Board and the Tacoma Pierce County Habitat for Humanity Finance Committee.

Dave and his wife Barbie live in Gig Harbor, WA and they have four children. They enjoy camping, traveling, kayaking and baseball.


Shannon M. Green, CLP

Ms. Green joined Orion First Financial, LLC in March 2003. As a key member of the company's senior management team Shannon is responsible for the overall operations of Orion First Financial which include maintaining banking relationships, drive operating efficiencies, support revenue growth, portfolio management and enhance business development.

With over 20 years experience in the finance industry Shannon has had a number of areas of responsibility throughout her career. Prior to joining Orion First Financial, Shannon was an officer of Financial Pacific Leasing. She directed activities such as credit, funding, syndication and customer service. In addition, as project manager, she managed the development of a web based automated credit system that improved service and increased operating efficiencies.

Shannon obtained her Certified Lease Professional designation in 1998. Shannon lives in Tacoma, WA, is married and has two children.


Zachary A. Marsh, CLP

Mr. Marsh is the Assistant Vice President in charge of the Accounting, Tax and Technology areas of Orion First Financial, LLC.  He has over eight years of experience in the finance industry.  While his specific areas of expertise are in accounting, tax and technology, Mr. Marsh has experience with treasury, operations, portfolio management and credit/syndication functions.  Zack is also involved with audit compliance including Orion’s financial, tax and SAS 70 audits.  He has facilitated the conversion process for new servicing portfolios and has prepared portfolio analytics.  Prior to joining Orion, Zack was a financial analyst with Financial Pacific Leasing, where he designed and maintained management level reports.

Zack has been involved with the NEFA and ELFA associations and is a member of the Future Leasing Leaders program.  Zack is also a Certified Leasing Professional and has a BA from Washington State University where he focused his studies in the areas of information and technology.

Zack and his wife, Julie live in Puyallup, WA and they have one daughter.  Zack enjoys softball and camping with his family.


Mark Y. Okinaka
Mr. Okinaka is Orion First Financial, LLC's Controller.  His responsibilities include the preparation of financial statements and deliverables to Orion’s clients as well as supporting the company and its departments with ancillary financial support.  Prior to joining Orion in June 2007, Mark spent five years as Manager of Budgeting and Forecasting at NBC Universal.  He also worked for Latham & Watkins, Ernst & Young, Boeing, and served in the US Army. 

Mark holds a BA in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Washington.

Mark lives in Tacoma, WA where he enjoys watching Mariners baseball and any Washington Husky sporting event.


Grant R. Smith
Mr. Smith is the Assistant Vice President of Portfolio Management for Orion First Financial, LLC.  His management responsibilities include all of portfolio services, such as collections, asset management, recovery and litigation.  Grant has fourteen years of not-for-profit organization administration experience as well as twenty-five years of experience in retailing; twenty years of that experience in management and executive management.  His experience in executive management was as vice president for operations and director of corporate development for a regional retail firm with annual revenues in excess of $45 million. While in executive management, his responsibilities included all aspects of attorney contract development, human resource management, labor contract negotiation, transportation agreements, supplier pricing, security, internal work flow, and other core store practices including unit profitability.

Grant sat on the board of directors for two retail companies and has been a member of Rotary International in Washington and Alaska, Chairman for the Employer Committee for Alaska Job Service in Ketchikan, Member and Flotilla Commander for the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Grant and his wife Karen live in Gig Harbor, WA, have three children and four grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with their family members and fishing in Alaska.  


Brita L. Storaasli, CLP

Ms. Storaasli joined Orion First Financial, LLC in 2003. With extensive experience in the finance industry, Brita brings a wide base of knowledge to Orion.

As the manager of Customer Service, Funding and Portfolio Sales, Brita’s past experience managing those same areas for Financial Pacific Leasing, gives her the perspective and knowledge needed to effectively manage multiple areas of responsibility.  Brita models Orion's approach of listening to our client and providing individual solutions for their needs. She ensures competent, responsive and responsible service for our clients.

Brita is a local native and graduate of the University of Washington where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. She obtained her Certified Lease Professional designation in 2001. Brita lives in Orting, WA and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.


Lorren D. Dalesky

Mr. Dalesky has over 25 years of collection experience in finance and third-party consumer collections, acting in various senior collection positions. He has managed various aspects of collections throughout his career.  Mr. Dalesky brought his extensive experience to Orion First Financial, LLC in October 2001 and is responsible for all aspects of Collection and Asset management. His superior technical skills and strong professional commitment to obtaining the best results for our clients is proven in each portfolio's performance. Mr. Dalesky is the key contact with clients regarding collection matters.

Lorren resides in Gig Harbor, WA with his wife Jenna and two daughters.  Lorren is active in softball, basketball and enjoys camping with his family.
