David
T. Schaefer, CLP
Managing Member
Mr. Schaefer is the founder and managing member of Orion First Financial, LLC (Orion) which was established in 2001 as a small ticket, commercial equipment lease servicer and advisor. Dave has over twenty-five years of experience in the commercial equipment leasing industry.
Prior to establishing Orion he was president and a member of the Board of Directors of a major U.S. lease company with assets in excess of $150 million. His experiences include treasury, operations, accounting and portfolio management.
He provides advisory services to lenders, lessors and equipment manufacturers regarding portfolio acquisitions, debt placement, lease administration and portfolio management. He has been involved in both prime and sub-prime markets and has significant experience dealing with all aspects of portfolio and collection management.
Dave also founded Checkmate Certified Collections, Inc., a consumer and commercial collection agency located in Tacoma, Washington.
Dave is active in the United Association of Equipment Lessors (UAEL) and the Equipment Leasing Association (ELA). He chaired the Small Ticket Business Council of the ELA in 1999 and 2000. He was one of the industry's earlier Certified Leasing Professionals, obtaining his CLP certification in 1996.
Dave and his wife Barbie live in Gig Harbor, Washington and they have four children. They enjoy camping, traveling, kayaking and baseball.
Ted A. Brownrigg, CLP
Sales and Marketing
Mr. Brownrigg joined the senior management team of Orion in 2005 and is responsible for all marketing and sales functions of the company. Ted has been active in the commercial leasing/finance business for the past 25 years. While working for a number of major U.S. leasing companies, in both the prime and sub-prime markets, he has held management positions in all facets of the leasing business including collections, credit, sales and marketing. Ted has been responsible for project teams that have implemented cutting edge technology solutions to improve efficiencies and increase profitable business.
Ted has been an active participant in industry associations including the UAEL, ELA, NAELB, and EAEL. He is well known and respected in the leasing community. He is a Certified Lease Professional and has a BS in Economics from Northwest Missouri State University.
Ted lives in Gig Harbor, WA with his wife and they have one daughter. He enjoys rock climbing, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Shannon
M. Green, CLP
Credit, Funding & Operations
Ms. Green joined Orion First Financial, LLC in March 2003. As part of the senior management team Shannon is responsible for the credit, funding and syndication activities of Orion First Financial as well as oversight of policy/procedure development.
In addition she is responsible for all human resource functions.
With over 17 years experience in the leasing industry Shannon has had a number of areas of responsibility throughout her career. Prior to joining Orion First Financial, Shannon was an officer of a major U.S. leasing company. She directed
activities such as credit, funding, syndication and customer service. In addition, as project manager, she managed the development of a web based automated credit system that improved service and increased operating efficiencies.
Shannon obtained her Certified Lease Professional designation in 1998. Shannon lives in Tacoma, WA, is married and has two children.
Lorren
D. Dalesky
Portfolio Management
Mr. Dalesky has over 18 years of collection experience in leasing and third-party consumer collections, acting in various senior collection positions. He has managed various aspects of collections throughout his career. Mr. Dalesky brought his extensive experience to Orion First Financial in October 2001 and is responsible for all aspects of portfolio management.
His superior technical skills and strong professional commitment to obtaining the best results for our clients is proven in each portfolio's performance. Mr. Dalesky is the key contact with clients regarding portfolio matters.
Zachary
A. Marsh, CLP
Controller
Mr. Marsh began his career in the leasing industry with a major equipment
leasing company working as a Financial Analyst. His position focused
on reporting of collection efforts, analyzing loss rates and preparing
financial reports. He graduated from Washington State University with
a degree in Business Administration. Mr. Marsh obtained his Certified
Leasing Professional designation in 2004. Expanding his knowledge
in finance and accounting operations, has lead to his natural progression
to Controller. He is responsible for the company's financial information,
reporting, accounting and tax compliance. Mr. Marsh's business education,
financial leasing/operations background and problem solving skills
make him a valuable asset to Orion First Financial, LLC and our clients.
